Garbage Guru Responsive Web App
The City had a number of existing channels for educating and supporting residents, but online tools were cumbersome, deeply buried in their large website, and didn’t provide on-the-spot answers to awkward waste questions.
We designed the responsive, mobile-first experience on a strong brand platform of the “Garbage Guru”, a fictional character designed to make what would otherwise be a very dry process relatable and delightful.
